Her unique name might be what is remembered first, but when you hear the small town girl with the giant voice sing, everything about singer/ songwriter Ddendyl Hoyt becomes unforgettable.
Born in South Carolina but raised in rural Western New York, Ddendyl began her musical career as a child studying classical violin, opera and teaching herself the piano. She grew up listening to Gospel and Country, being inspired by artists such as Johnny Cash and Reba McEntire. Ddendyl’s compelling voice and emotional storytelling, make for an authentic musical mix of rock, pop, and blues
Ddendyl has shared the stage with artists such as Hunter Hayes, Scotty McCreery, Sebastian Mikael, Elle Varner, and opened along side colleagues for Justin Moore following her appearances on Season 6 of NBC’s “The Voice” In addition, Batavia Daily News named Ddendyl the “2014 Artist of the Year” for Western New York. Ddendyl was also named the Nash Next 2017 New York Winner and most recently the 2021 Henderson, NV Battle of the Bands winner.
Ddendyl adores her fans, they are the fuel that keeps propelling her forward. She loves to hear about how her songs touch their lives. “It really makes you aware of how much music impacts people, and their stories are just as important as the ones I’m telling in my songs.”
Ddendyl is an ambassador for the nonprofit Free2Luv, taking a stand against bullying and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community.
